Abstract

IEC 62877-1:2023 RLV contains both the official IEC International Standard and its Redline version. The Redline version is available in English only and provides you with a quick and easy way to compare all the changes between the official IEC Standard and its previous edition. IEC 62877-1:2023 applies to electrolytes and their components used for filling vented lead acid batteries with dry-charged cells and for electrolyte replenishment, replacement or electrolyte density adjustment of batteries in operation. This document defines the composition, purity and properties of electrolyte, for application where specific instructions from the battery manufacturer are not available. This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition published in 2016. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition: - Addition of the concentration values of halogens in Table 4.
