Abstract

This standard specifies a method of checking the ability of optical connection elements (including permanent connections) and fibre optic couplers or specimens of the materials used in the manufacture and termination of optical components, to withstand mould or fungus growth without deterioration. It shall be used together with EN 2591-100.
