Abstract

The CWA describes the methodology for a European Internet based-network between European government translation units, terminology organizations, etc.with the purpose of developing and disseminating European Administrative nomenclatures. It also contains a prototype database for localised data management based on Topic maps - and the proposal for a long term financing of this network and tool. The project was proposed by the CEN/ISSS Cultural Diversity Steering Group and touches the issue of multilinguism as important issue in the Information Society in Europe.
