Abstract

This European Standard specifies a general system for the classification of coating materials and coating systems for the preservation, decoration and protection of exterior new and old, coated or uncoated masonry. It also includes an optional classification system based on certain physical properties. This European Standard is applicable to all coating materials and coating systems for masonry, including those intended for use in association with organic binder renderings and thermal insulation systems. Recommendations for special coating systems for masonry are given in annex A.
