Abstract

This document defines the functional requirements for the different components of the FINREAD card reader :  it gives an overall description of the FINREAD card reader architecture and components ;  it describes in detail the different FINREAD card reader operating modes ;  it specifies the characteristics and functional requirements of the main components of the FINREAD card reader : the ICC interface, the user equipment interface, the user interface, FINREAD card reader applications and finally the security module ensuring the FINREAD card reader authentication function ;  it describes functions to be provided internally by the FINREAD card reader to the FINREAD card reader applications ;  it describes functions provided by the FINREAD card reader to the user equipment.
