Abstract

This part of the CWA is a specification of the FINREAD Card Reader API 1.1. Its goal is twofold. It should enable a developer of the card reader side of a FINREAD financial application to develop a FINREAD Card Reader Application (FCRA) which can react to commands sent by a client side program and communicate with an ICC inserted into the FINREAD reader. The second goal is to give sufficient information to allow a FINREAD card reader vendor to implement the interface specified in this document within their FINREAD reader. This Part of the CWA:  gives an overview of the interaction and differences with the Small Terminal Interoperability Platform specification ;  is the javadoc style API specification.
